if you log in to yoyur google account, you should be able to click on
contacts and if you have accounts and sync set to sync, so the button
for that is checked under settings accounts and sync in your phone,
then they should be syncing and you should see them.

Do you have a google or gmail account?
If so, then even if you reset your phone, if you put your google account on
the phone, your contacts will be put back on the phone as well.

MA doesn't hide the file. The contacts are saved in google.

I recently did a factory reset on my HTC Desire Z which, I think, would
remove such data from the phone. When I re-installed Mobile
Accessibility,
my contacts were there.
