Having started with mobile speak on a few different Nokias, I eventually took the plunge to Android. It's evolving very quickly but I now own a nexus 4 phone and a nexus 7 tablet, both of which are a joy to use. On the home screen question, MA is no longer my home screen, there are so many accessible apps outside of MA and it's easier to use JB and explore your way to them than it is to use the MA list of apps. I now use MA as an app because I@m used to its contacts and messaging system. Even those aspects are accessible in JB but if you aren't a heavy user then it's what you're used to and personal preference. On the subject of keyboards, I had a couple of android phones with physical keyboards and I found that my most used key was delete! It isn't easy to touch type on such a small board. However with the latest versions of JB the touch screen keyboards are very easy to use, you slide your finger around until you find the right key and use that key by lifting your finger rather than tapping. It does seem easy after a while and I use delete much less. Speech input is getting better too and the upcoming Android phones look very good in this respect e.g. the moto x. Finally the designers seem to have caught on that everyone wants to use phones without looking, not just us. Onwards and upwards, things are getting better for us all the time.
