Namo Buddhaya, Sinar Dharma pernah berkunjung ke Lombok dan meliput komunitas umat Buddha di bawah binaan Bhante Atthakaro di sana, karenanya barusan saya menghubungi Bhante Atthakaro via handphone, sekedar menanyakan kondisi di sana dan untuk tetap "keep in touch".
Ternyata Bhante sedang di lapangan mengangkut batu-batu untuk perbaikan jalan-jalan di lingkungannya yang rusak karena dilanda banjir beberapa waktu yang lalu. Informasi dari Bhante, karena tidak adanya biaya untuk membayar pekerja, terpaksa turun untuk melakukan kegiatan perbaikan jalan, termasuk mengangkut materialan. Saat saya telepon, nafas bhante terdengar terengah-engah, mungkin kecapean karena sedang "nguli". Karena ketidakadaan biaya, Bhante Atthakaro mengharapkan partisipasi dari umat Buddha sekalian untuk dapat berdana bagi perbaikan jalan di sana.
