Okay, I've just been rediscovering oPlayer and video files again so perhaps the following might answer your question.
You'll see your videos in a list as you would any other playable file type in oPlayer, double-tap on that file to start it playing. At this point you may wish to start streaming your video to a compatible device such as an Apple TV etc. When you've finished with your video press the close button, you'll be returned to the file browsing screen again.
