i just installed lion and i have one or two issues which i don't know if anybody else has noticed. when my macbook boots, i appear to get messages such as "speech server" or some website for apple and it seems to cause a problem focusing on my destop so for example if i try to do vo plus d to try and get to my doc, it doesn't appear to activate first time and i either have to do the command again or i have to press escape and then do it again before voiceover decides to read the items on the doc. this problem where i get messages read out when booting my macbook also appears to affect other dialogues such as when i go to shutdown and i cannot seem to always read the dialogue for the choices even when using vo and the left and right arrow keys. has anyone else had these issues after upgrading from snow leopard? i am wondering if my problem might be due to something i have changed in preferences for speech, some box which i may have checked or unchecked which is causing these focusing issues. i also notice that the voice changes for prompts when shutting down when i am asked if i want to shut down even if i am unable to see the buttons for the choices. not relating to any of these issues does anyone know how to cancel the screen lock? when setting my macbook to prompt me for my password for my account, i somehow inadvertently set the password for the screensaver so after leaving my macbook for just a short time, i am prompted to type my password which is a bit of a pain if for example i am on skype and i don't do any other task on my computer.
