I am also using Snow Leopard, and like you, VO is now telling me every time it
thinks there is a misspelled word when I am reading my emails... just imagine
how irritating it is when you're repeatedly being told VO is a misspelled word
on this list!
In addition, I now have 2 other problems on Safari:
1. When I am in a text edit box like a search box or user name box, there is no
longer any character echo as I type. Just total silence (I know I am
interacting with the box because what I have just typed in silence is read back
to me when I use VO plus the arrow keys, however the individual characters are
not read when I use the arrow keys or the backspace key which erases this is
only happening in Safari- the characters but does not announce what it's doing.
The character echo works fine in pages and mail.
2. Safari no longer automatically interacts with the html content of any web
pages. I now have to manually interact with the HTML content every time a new
web page is opened/loaded, and this is pretty tedious. Also VO is not playing
any sound or announcing when the new web page after it has loaded-- it's a
guessing game.

Is this possibly because the latest Safari update is meant for Lion and not
Snow Leopard? Or do I need to change something on my settings? I can probably
live with the misspelled word announcements, but not hearing anything when I
type in a edit box on a web page is very problematic.
Thanks for any help
