Hi lynne, I agree on this. I went ahead and made one for myself a few days ago just in case. It does take a little while to boot compared to the conventional DVDs Apple offered for Snow Leopard, but that's understandable. It works very well, however, interestingly enough it seemed that Disk Utility refused to format my internal drive off of the utility offered on the DVD. I'm going to try that again, but that was really the only oddity I found.
