Hello William, Another thing I'd recommend is to be patient for the first day. I'm not sure when you performed your install of Lion, but I can tell you my Mail and several other areas of Lion were slow for the first day or so. Part of it was probably related to Spotlight reindexing the drive. I let it all settle in, left the mac running overnight, and since then Mail and most other things are better in most instances. There are still some areas that are noticeably more sluggish but Apple Accessibility has been informed and I expect those issues will be addressed in time.
