Hi Chris To be honest, as a server admin I'm a bit puzzled by this decision. Print services worked very well when configured properly. In our office, for instance, they use a high spec laser printer and it was a breeze to configure it for the network so that all clients could spool and queue jobs. It's going to be fun now I think, although I'm sure it will work.
As for remote access, I'm not in the least surprised. It was never in the spec I don't think and yes, Remote Desktop remains as illusive as ever. Another thing which really annoys me is the inaccessibility of SSL configuration. One who is blind just cannot import certificates into Server. This was promised to me to be fixed by engineering. But hasn't been. On 1 Aug 2011, at 17:00, Chris Moore wrote: I meant by Apple removing the Print services in favour of CUPS seemed a bit half baked to what they had before. Real shame about the lack of accessible remote access too.
