Subject: Re: Mac Mini Server Explained; Trying to answer Jim's question

Hello Jim

OK, let me try and address this for you in a completely new way. The hardware boot ROM won't allow you to install anything but Server, so say the people we called at Apple yesterday. This is by design. I appreciate why you want the hardware; it's far more powerful. In fact, once you set up your network you may not be afflicted by most of the issues we have; because ours is a different configuration. But be aware that there are some issues you *will* run into.

For instance your network configuration must be specific and if it changes you get issues.

If I cam help further Jim I am more than willing to do so.

Lynne
