Hello Desi, Firstly, are you in the US and are you referring to the NPR News App version 3.1 as found at the following US App Store link? http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/npr-news/id324906251?mt=8
If yes, I'm not sure if the following is the same issue you're experiencing, but it sounds similar. I've been using the NPR App for a year on my iphone 4 and hadn't experienced this issue until this morning when, incidentally, I updated the app to version 3.1. After the update, VO reported no listings within my "Favorites" which previously had 4 stations listed. I went back to the Favorites list and attempted to re-add a local station using the "Search by Zip Code" option, but it seems they've used a non-standard number pad and VO announces the numbers as "Button" so that option appears to be useless. I went a step and used the "Nearby stations" and it quickly found the stations I wanted. Note: I'm not sure if that option works on the ipod or if it requires a GPS signal as found in the iphone. The next glitch I found was that there were no program listings within the station. I went back and forth through the process of adding several other stations and checking them for prog ram listings, but they all reported an empty list. Then, somewhere around my tenth try, the program listing finally showed up in all of my "favorite" stations. I'm guessing the update must have refreshed the data on my phone and perhaps just required a few extra minutes of patience to complete that refresh. I'll be sending a note to [email protected] to let them know about this behavior and about the inaccessible keypad.
