Hello Margaret.

1. Press Control+Option (known as the "VoiceOver" or "VO" keys) plus the F8 key
to open VoiceOver Utility.

2. Find the table of options and scroll down to verbosity.
3. Move to the "Text" tab and keep hitting the tab key when you select the text
tab until you hear "Typing Echo" Open the menu option and change it to "Words".

The question I have is how do you change voice over from reading
letters to just reading out the word while I am typing? If this can be
done could someone give me step by step instructions
Margaret
