Hi James and all, No, I'm afraid I've never experienced anything like this. When you say "locked inside", what do you mean exactly? Are you unable to get out of it even with cmd-tab? Is VoiceOver continually reading its interface when it should be doing other things? If the answer is yes to these questions, I've definitely never experienced this. I doubt you could delete the application anyway, it's a part of OS X, the same way iTunes is for instance.
