Hmm as of now I'm not having issues but I did have this issue in snl until I upgraded to lion. Strangeness eh?

Yeah it appears you have the same Issue. that also was not resolved by a reformat and reinstall. The was in snl btw. I can't remember what prefs to remove as the keyboard prefs are hidden. I've googled all over th epalce and a lot of people are having this issue.
