If you have your operating system DVD to hand, just do a clean install by 
booting off the DVD then using Disk utility to erase the drive. Go through the 
install until you are prompted to restart the machine.  At that prompt, when 
you hear the power on cord, just hit the power button and you can be sure your 
machine is factory reset.
