On my I Mac I have a 256 gb solid drive and a 2TB second dive.
I want to leave the solid state drive as far as possible to be a drive for 
operating systems and   
installed programs .
 I have a problem with I Tunes relentlessly trying to fill up my solid state 
drive with copies of files that I have placed on my secondary drive. Does 
anybody know how I can stop I tunes doing this. 
I think I will be using VLC which seems far easier to use than I Tunes but I 
lowed  I Tunes to import a CD tonight whereupon it started to fill up my 
primary  drive even though I did not ask it to do this. I eventually had to do 
a force quit on I Tunes to stop it doing this as the only response I could get 
from I Tunes was busy whilst Finder reported the I Tunes media folder growing 
relentlessly.
