I've commented on the VM hub on the Techno list where it's more appropriate. Actually the TC has quite a slow switch but it's adequate for a residential network. The power supply used to be under-rated, I don't know whether it is now. But yes, for a residential type of typical network you could do a lot worse than the Time Capsule. Well, that much is proven by looking at the VM and BT hubs.
