i went to the growl button under system preferences, pressed space on it and i see the applications tab etc only when i go to the application tab i only see growl listed, no skype or anything else and the buttons to configure and remove.

i downgraded growl to a less current version but all i can see in
the apps under settings is the growl app itself.
no other app appears to show up and i can't find a single way of
adding apps such as skype.
