Speakers come in all shapes and sizes and you don't have to spend a
fortune of some very nice sounding speakers nowadays, a pair of computer
speakers say for $40.00 can do a surprisingly good job.
My personal view is that - given your Airport Express has a digital
output through the 3.5MM jack as well as analogue - I'd want to make the
best of that if I could by using a device with a digital input, sam an
amp with a pair of reasonable speakers.
Just our of curiosity, have you plugged a set of headphones into your
Airport Express and heard the sound through those? I do that here from
time to time, sounds absolutely brilliant.

Hi,
I have just invested in an airport express, which has a 3.5 mm output I think.
Could I ask for recommendations on a single or 2.0 speaker to plug in. It will
be for music more than anything.
Thanks in advance
Ian
