Ah so they finally  changed that did they? You used to hold the talk button and 
it would go in to handset mode and stay there. and you could not get it back 
with the usual work around because as soon as you did it would go right back in 
to handset mode when you went to talk or even clicked on the person's name. I 
liked the texting capability as it would show it in a threaded view  and the 
facebook  thing  is cool!
