Hi all, Whenever I boot up my mac book, a dialog box opens which is called something like speech synthesis server and I have no idea why or what it is for. I am unable to interact with the item and once I've switched to desktop or doc, the item disappears and I am unable to retrieve it. Have tried checking in system preferences but have been unable to find accounts where I understand items that start on boot up should be contained. I've looked in system/ library/ speech and can make nothing of what is there. I have read that there is some button which can be pressed to stop this appearing but cannot recall where it is or what it is called after searching for the appropriate application to do this with. Any ideas gratefully received. Running with Lion 10.7.2
