Take my name, for example, Marcy Weinberg. If you press option right arrow, and hear the word Marcy, the cursor will be after the y but before the space, so if you left arrow the cursor will be before the y, and if you press option right arrow, the cursor will be after the space and before the W.
Hope this helps! On Dec 7, 2011, at 9:43 AM, David Griffith wrote: How is it possible to navigate to the end of a word using either Mac OS or Voiceover commands? I know that option right and left arrow will navigate word by word but the focus always seems to be at the beginning of a word. The problem is that this function ignores spaces punctuation and line brake. So for example I have been trying to edit a document in text edit and needed to edit the end of transformer. Pressing option right arrow will take me to the next word which is actually my name David. However it is a period, 3 carriage returns and several spaces beyond the end of the word transformer. Pressing option left arrow will jump me back to the beginning t of transformer but where I want to be is on the final r of transformer. I halve VO set to read character to the right but would not have thought that this makes a difference.
