Hi Michael, Here's how to activate VoiceOver for the Login screen if you're running Lion. The steps are, if I remember correctly, exactly the same for activation under Snow Leopard, with the minor change that "Users & Groups" is called "Accounts". So here goes…
1. Open "System Preferences". You'll find this in the menu bar, under the "Apple" menu. You can get to the menu bar by either pressing "VO+M" or "Control+F2". 2. In "System Preferences", navigate to and activate the "Users & Groups" button. Remember, that under Snow Leopard, this option is called "Accounts". 3. Interact with the "Users, Groups & Login options" table. By default, the currently running account will be selected. At the bottom of the table, you'll find "Login Options". 4. Stop interacting and VO right. In the list of checkboxes and pop-up buttons, you'll find a checkbox called "Use VoiceOver at Login window". Check this box and you're good to go.
