Hi Paul and Paula,

To expand on Paula's advice, this article describes how to dictate punctuation
including line breaks, caps, etc. It is applicable for both Siri and the
Dragon app (which I long ago deleted). BTW, Siri does appear to know all the
cuss words (not that I ever utter them :) ).

Best regards.
Geoff

  Hey Paul

How are you? I also use the drag and dictate app. I find that if I say
comma, full stop, question mark, etc. It will put in the appropriate
punctuation. I've not used the virtual keyboard but export the stuff I have
dictated to the text message I'm going to send and then edit it in there.
My only complaint with Drag and Dictate is that it can't swear :) lol

  I hope this helps.

  Paula

Subject: Dragon dictate on the iPhone

  Hello,
I have just tried the free dragon dictation app from the iTunes app store on
my iPhone 3GS. It has done a very good job of speech recognition. Is there
any way to get it to include punctuation like commas, full stops, and new
lines? I tried speaking the word comma and stop and also leaving long pauses
in my dictation in the hope that it would include the appropriate
  punctuation but alas no.
So what is the easiest way for a VoiceOver user to add punctuation? I have
not used the virtual keyboard much but when I did try it I found it quite
tricky to edit already entered text.
  Many thanks for any tips.
  Best wishes....
