There was an adapter for the 2008 minis that would allow you to connect a
mini to a television, it does not work with new mac minis though, as far
as I know, the only way to get the new minis to work properly is to
connect a monitor, it doesn't need to be turned on, just connected.

Hello,
I am thinking of getting a Mac mini in a couple of weeks and I read an
article this morning about having to fool the Mac mini in to thinking it
is connected to a monitor for the voice over to come on automatically.
One of the things was called a Sewells TVdeck pc to TV adapter which I
believe are from america.
My question is;
Is it still necessary to use one and if so, is there a british
equivvilent please.
Thanks,
Trevor
