Hello group

This is Tracy; writing to let you know about a brand new Take Control title.

Our friends at Macworld have published a new edition of their guide to the
iPhone, the "Macworld iPhone 4S Superguide."
 If you're interested read on.

Although this new ebook focuses on the iPhone 4S (running iOS 5, of course), it
also is great for iPhone 4 and 3GS users who are running iOS 5 (just skip the
bits about Siri). If you're running iOS 5 on a third- or fourth-generation iPod
touch, you'll find plenty of helpful advice, but the ebook doesn't call out
differences between the iPhone and the iPod touch.

The "Macworld iPhone 4S Superguide" kicks off with a rundown of iPhone 4S parts
and ports, and then discusses the iOS 5 Setup Assistant plus how to configure a
few more important settings. Next up, you'll find out about iPhone
fundamentals, many of which may be a review if you've mastered multitasking and
customizing the Home screen with folders, but there's also new content about
using the new Siri voice feature on the 4S.

The Superguide next discusses how to operate your iPhone as a modern telephone,
with advice on tracking contacts, placing phone calls and video chats, and
sending text messages. You'll learn about how to use the new iMessage service
to send free text messages to other iOS 5 users. The discussion then moves on
to basic Internet use from the iPhone, including help browsing the Web, working
with email, and getting around in the Maps app.

For those interested in office productivity, the Superguide discusses
calendaring, iWork basics, using Microsoft Office and Google Docs, accessing
files stored elsewhere, and printing. And, for times when you feel musical, it
helps you with the Music and GarageBand apps.

But wait! there's more! You'll also learn about watching videos and using the
iMovie app, taking photos and using iCloud's Photo Stream, and reading ebooks
and more with iBooks, Newsstand, or a third party app... plus get started with
your New Year's resolution about world domination in Game Center. There's also
a thoughtful troubleshooting chapter, and a chapter that shares Macworld's
recommendations for accessories, such as cases, headphones, and speakers.

Questions that you'll find answers to include:

* What do all the symbols that appear at the top of my screen mean?
* What are the basics of connecting my iPhone to iCloud?
* How can I set up my Contacts so that Siri "knows" who my sister is?
* How do I create a Reminder using Siri?
* How do I sync media between my Mac and my iPhone?
* How do I make my own ringtones?
* How can I take a photo and then share it with Twitter?
* How do I add and delete bookmarks from Safari?
* How do I stream audio and video from my iPhone to some other device?
* How do I stream audio and video from my computer to my iPhone?
* How do I know if I need to force-quit an app?
* What should I do if I get the "Connect to iTunes" screen?
* How can I make the battery last longer?

As always, thank you for your support! You know how to reach us if you're
interested.
