Hi Chris,

To expand a bit on Sarah's note, you can implement her Facebook / IE8
suggestion by doing the following:
1. when you're in Safari go to Safari Preferences by pressing Command+comma.
2. In Safari Preferences interact with the toolbar, select the"Advanced"
button, stop interacting with the toolbar, navigate to the item labeled, "Show
Develop Menu in Menu Bar," and make sure this checkbox is checked. This will
add a menu item labeled "Develop" into the menu for both Safari and Webkit.
3. To set Safari to identify itself as Internet Explorer 8, go to the Develop
menu / User Agent / and select Internet Explorer 8.

Another option you're probably already aware of is the feature-limited but
friendlier "mobile" version of FB available at m.facebook.com

HTH,
Bryan
