Hello Margaret,

The Duplicate command is in the File menu. It hasn't got a shortcut, but if you 
use it a lot, you can create one in System Preferences.

Having created a duplicate, go to the Finder and select that file. Press Return 
to be able to type in a new name for it, then press Return again and the name 
will be changed.
