It is not free, but if you have the Switch sound converter, this includes a
capacity to edit the tags on the Mac. Nothing like the power of mp3tag on
the windows side so I too would be in interested in a Mac utility.
The easiest way to create a playlist  I have found is to use the free VLC
player.
