Hi Eric,

The "album art" button in the center exposes additional options. One of these (if the content is set to spoken media such as Podcast or audiobook) is a toggle control edge about three quarters of an inch below the top. This will cycle between "half, "normal", and "double".

Also, the item immediately above "playback speed" labeled "track position" you can either swipe up or down to move by a predictable increment, or use the passthrough gesture and drag right/left to fast forward or rewind.

Best regards.
Geoff

Subject: Speeding up podcasts on iphone

Hello listers,

Can someone remind me how I can speed up play back of a podcast or book on the iPhone in the music app? I'm pretty sure I read there was a way but now can't remember.

Also, I believe we could not do that in iTunes. Has that changed?

I'm sure even the sighted world would like to be able to speed up audio with the pitch controlled. It is a great time saver.

Tips appreciated!

eric Caron
