Hi Jim, This is coming from someone who does not actually have a mini himself, however I have heard this problem is caused by not having a monitor attached. Do you have one you could connect? If not, there are adapters you can apparently use, though I don't know much about them myself. If that isn't a problem, I'm not sure what to suggest. Hope this helps, Zack.
