Hi Christine,

I think I know where you might be confused. Under OS X Lion, the search
functionality has been altered slightly. When using Command+F to execute the
"Find", command, after typing in your search string you need to then press
Escape to exit the search field. You will then find your cursor where you
expect, with the word or string highlighted. You should then be able to edit to
your heart's content.

You can also use VO+F to launch VoiceOver's "Find" function, but do to several
factors including the limited space provided for typing a string, I prefer to
use the application's in-built "Find" command.

Hope this helps

TC :)
