Hello Roger, Nicolai, TJ, Jane, Sarah, Sean and All,

Thank you for your responses on and off list. you've given me some good reasons
to consider a Braille display. My plan is to become reasonably familiar with
grade 2 Braille by the end of June. At that time I'll be attending my first NFB
national convention here in the US and am told I'll have the opportunity to get
my hands on a good mix of makes and models so I can get a better feel for the
differences before parting with an obscenely large chunk of my life's savings.
I can't believe how expensive these things are -- even the cheapest ones cost
more than any computer I've ever purchased. In fact, they cost more than just
about *anything* I've ever purchased, <frown>, but I'm thinking of this as an
important investment in my future.

Cheers,
Bryan
