I use the backbeat headphones by Altec lansing, and I have to say I've had these things for four years, they've been washed, and they work great. They are small in-the-ear headphones, and they are stereo. They have good music sound and also have a good microphone that works well with skype and they will work well with the iPod touch. So far I've gotten about 4 hours of talk time without any issue, and they can even be charged by a micro usb cable if you so desire. I hope this helps. I'd definitely give them a real thumbs up.
