Hello Listers,

A New List Recorder Update has been sent to the App Store. Hopefully
it will show up soon.

For any new listers, list Recorder is a Recorder and text note taking
application designed with the VoiceOver user in mind. It has flexible and
strong recording capabilities, but also allows for text titles and a text note
taking area. It is so feature rich that many of it's capabilities are at first
over looked.

The Developer worked very hard to put in many of the requests made by users.
Please keep offering ideas for improvements. Below are the most significant
changes I can think of. I hope to update previous podcasts and offer new
instructional podcasts soon.

Changes in List Recorder 2.3

1) Lock no longer interrupts recording.
This fixes the problem that broke in iOS 5.0
2) New m4a recording format.
3) New setting to select default list sort.
I really like this as I prefer the Manual sort for most lists over the creation
date sort
4) New setting to select system sounds spoken by human voice or Voice Over.
This is very nice for those using languages other then English as the voice
Over speech is translated. It is also faster.
5) Export list creates folder with html export file plus referenced audio files.
6) New insert, imported list function to bring in exported lists.
this export and import allows for another way to back up your recordings and
text. It also makes it possible to import lists from other users. this is
done using iTunes file sharing.
7) Items are unchecked after moving.
8) Gestures are turned off by default for new user.
The gestures are great but until a new user understands them it is probably
best they are turned off by default.
9) 2 new localizations: Italian and Spanish.

This is just a sneak peek. There is more information in the What's new in
Version 2.3 area under Tutorials in the new update.

I hope it gets through Apple soon.

These improvements were due to many list participant suggestions and amazing
work by volunteers doing translations and beta testing.

Many of them are listed in the credits area under About List Recorder.

Please send me any feedback.

I send this to you as a list member, a List Recorder user, and List Recorder
beta tester.
