Your mac comes with a version of ftp already installed.
If you open terminal, which is found in the utility folder, you can
run the command-line version of ftp without having to purchase anything.
Of course, if you're not a command-line kind of person, then this
won't help much, but since I didn't see it mentioned in this thread,
I figured I'd mention it for reference.
