Hi EEsther, Ann and all Just to clarify one small point. If you are based in the United States, you have the option of either coming to us directly, or else Travis. If you buy from Travis that is perfectly fine. However, if you wish us to provide you with a permanent online bookshelf, you would need to forward us copies of all communication between yourself and Travis, including the PayPal notification messages. We do not, of course, doubt Travis or yourselves. We simply need the proof for our own records of sale. Once we receive the proof we are very happy to give you the same level of service as we would our own customers. Also, be aware please that we do not ask for additional money to provide you with the free bookshelf. Neither do we here at Mac Access make any kind of profit whatsoever on the sale of these books. Note also that, if you buy books via the Take Control website at the regular price, we are still very happy to provide you with an online bookshelf from where you may re-d ownload your titles at any time. This is our way of offering an accessible alternative to the very inaccessible Take Control download area.
Note also that we do not invite comment regarding how the Take Control site works with any accessibility solution other than VoiceOver and Zoom, as they are off topic for this group. If such threads start we would have no option but to place the offender(s) into moderated mode. We'd hate to do that, so compliance with list policy would be appreciated. For more information about how to buy the books with the discount, please contact either Travis Seigal or ourselves. Note: We have no input as to Travis's own terms and conditions of sale. So if they differ from ours you'd have to take that up with Travis himself off list. I hope that this further clarifies the position. You can read about this at the link to "Breaking News!" at the main mac-access web page: <http://www.mac-access.net/NewsFlash!.html> This includes the Take Control eBooks and the sArchiver software. You'll need to follow the instructions on that page for purchasing such items. In general, this involves off-list contacts with Gordon and Lynne using the specified contact link or, in the case of U.S. list members purchasing the Take Control books, using the link to contact Travis Siegel to handle the transaction. Note that you must be a mac-access list member for a minimum time before you can purchase the Take Control books at the substantial discount. HTH.
