I'm actually having the same issue. I can't seem to review text on the screen. I'll try the regular cursor keys instead of the VO keys. This has been the only annoyance so far. You really have to be able to read the text if you miss something, and in combat, you want to be able to jump to the end of the messages to make sure you are not getting your head handed to you, as it's obviously read much slower than shown on the screen.
