Hello everybody This is one of those times when I'd really rather not have to write this message. We are receiving complaints from Mac Access members regarding the number of tips some members sending to the group which have not been tested and could, therefore, prove to be harmful to the systems of those who try them. So, if you wish to send tips and tricks to this group, please be sure they work as expected first.
Whilst Mac Access is a list designed for the betterment of all, we are also concerned by what we are being told are cross-posts. We don't have evidence either way on this point; but I need to remind you, I think, that it is against list policy to ccross-post messages that you send to, for example, Mac Visionaries or one of the VoiceOver lists, to Mac Access as well. Please understand that if indeed these messages are being cross-posted, it is one of the reasons why we are losing members. Several now former members have sighted cross-posts as their reason for leaving the group. Therefore, if indeed you are cross-posting, and we need you to be assured that we are not accusing anybody of anything, but if you are, would you please refrain from doing so. If you do have evidence of persistent cross-posting by any member, please feel free to let us know. I cannot stress highly enough that we're not accusing anybody of anything; it's just what we are being told and we need to be sure that it doesn't continue, if messages are being cross-posted, we need to take remedial action for the good of the group as a whole. Cross-posting is explicitly prohibited in the list policy document to which you all agreed to abide by virtue of the fact that you joined the group and remained a member. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
