First, on the specific folder in the dock, use VO-shift-m to open the 
context menu.
Then, make sure, folder and list are checked in the items shown.
Then, you can use VO-space to open the folder and see the items in the folder 
listed.  They will either be in order of date added or by name, depending on 
what you have checked in the context menu.
