I keep mine plugged in but not eh first of every single month I let it go dead. if I need to use it I nay use it to 90 percent that way I charge in a micro cycle and it will take 10 micro cycles to get to 1 full cycle. You don't have to do this but I find my battery lasting a lot longer then it did 2years ago. I had to have it changed out last year. and the mac is only 2 years old lol!
