Hello Glenn, What program and device are you using?
Are you using Windows, Mac or iPhone? I have downloaded many books from Audible and never seen this problem. If you use the Windows Audible manager software, it will take a couple of hours for the average size book. Under the Mac or IPhone it is very quick. More details on your setup would be helpful.
