Hi all

Just got around to buying our copy of MacJournal Family pack license. I did
this because my hopefully new job will involve far more than just the Braille
transcription we thought it would. I'll be working in schools across the area,
and part of my job will be acting as liaison officer between schools and
parents for the I.T departments.

The schools in our area are moving towards Apple hardware, and away from the
Windows operating system and when I attended the first informal interview
yesterday they told me that based on my CV, passed experience and technology
skills, I'm just the person they've been looking for.

Anyway, to the point. Has anybody tried this for accessibility and, just as
importantly, has anybody tried the iPad version or even the iPhone version if
there is one? I am hoping that it is possible to synchronise MacJournal
entries across the platforms. If so, that will make things easier for me.
I'll be using a range of technologies and we hope that the iPad 3 in particular
will play a large part in my job function. My job will be to oversee the
transition in the initial stage, and hopefully soon get the students fully
familiar with Apple's VoiceOver. In other words, I'll be teaching as well.

i'm sorry to have made this post so long, but I'm really excited about the
prospect. It isn't confirmed as definite as yet, but it looks extremely
promising and is only subject now to an interview and the relevant checks.

So, I'm off to play with MacJournal before I hit the hay.

Gordon
