Hi,

I'm guessing you are asking about Paul's post on using SuperDuper! to recover
his frozen iMac. You can get SuperDuper! from ShirtPocket software:
http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
The free trial download will let you clone your current disk. The paid version
suppports additional features like scheduled backups Carbon Copy Cloner by
Bombich software also lets you recover this way, and boot from your cloned disk
in the event that your disk is completely trashed. It is donationware (free,
but suggested that you leave a donation if you find it useful), and can be
downloaded from:
http://www.bombich.com/

No, iCloud does not back up your Mac. Lynne wrote a nice article about backing
up your Mac that you can read on their blog:
http://maciosaccessdotnet.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/mac-osx-system-backup/

This topic (backups) is also very well explained in the Take Control volume on
Backing Up your Mac.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
