DVD Remaster or Handbrake should do what you want.  Personally I prefer the 
former, although it isn't free.  I find it more intuitive and it's faster by a 
mile.  I reckon somebody left the "Hand Break" on, when they configured 
Handbrake!  Sorry about the stupid pun. :)
