Hi folks! So with the release of OSX Mountain Lion I say Goodbye to my 2008 Macbook 13 inch though surprisingly OSX Mountain Lion seems quite at home on my 2007 iMac, also works well on my late 2009 Mac Mini.
Anyway I just wouldn't be without my Macbook so I ordered a replacement Macbook Pro 13 inch and a replacement 21 and a half inch iMac thinking that my 2007 iMac model would be as useless as my old Macbook would be, expecting the 2 new machines early next week and I have to admit to feeling as I did when I was a child with the approach of Christmas <smile>. It is regretful than I couldn't purchase the I7 models and had to make do with the I5 but I'm sure they'll do me nicely, perhaps I'll upgrade my Mac Mini sometime next year to an I7, cross that bridge when I come to it <smile>. Anyway I'm just wondering if other list members could tell me what I can expect with my new machines, for example does the new iMac model's internal speakers sound any different from those of the 2007 iMac? Does the Macbook Pro sound any better or worse than the 2008 Macbook model? I'm looking forward to the use of the Trackpad on the new Macbook Pro, that's something I couldn't do with the older model thus I had to use a Magic Trackpad in its place. One tiny annoyance is the fact that my model of Macbook Pro doesn't have an audio input, just an audio output and I'm not even sure if its an optical digital output at that. Ah well, looks as though I may have to purchase a few more of those iMic sound devices from Grifen Technology or perhaps something else which will give me digital i/o. <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
