Subject line says it all, I'm transferring data from the old iMac machine but
its taking far too long! <smile>.

I have a few questions perhaps some people may care to answer and a few
observations that others may wish to comment on.

I notice that my machine comes with a bluetooth or wireless mouse of some
description, can I use this in the same way as I did the Mighty Mouse which
came with my original iMac? For example I used to move the mouse using VO to a
part of a web page, hold down the ctrl key on the keyboard whilst clicking the
physical mouse to get into a context menu.

The Bluetooth keyboard? Well I I'll use that for one of the IOS devices I
think, USB keyboard works okay.

So I ran the installation process and decided to transfer data from my backup
drive which contains a backup of the older Mac machine backed up by Super Duper.

The data transfer process seemed to run okay right till the end when the
Migration Assistant informed me that some data couldn't be transferred.

Next I registered the new iMac and pressed the "Start Lion" button and after
this I started having trouble.

Whatever I did the computer wouldn't accept my user password.

I even tried the option of resetting the password using my Apple ID but the
"Reset Password" button didn't seem to work, not only that Voiceover wouldn't
give me any feedback as to whether any characters were actually being accepted
into the Password field.

I've just booted the iMac up from the Super Duper volume, seemed to boot okay
so I'm taking the chance on a full Super Duper install and see how we go with
that, if anyone else has any suggestions then I'd be interested to hear them.

Now back to the iMac machine itself which doesn't look all that much different
from my older iMac, about the same thickness but perhaps slightly bigger.

I will say that volume from the internal speakers is far louder than it was on
the older model.

I've looked on the back for ports, 4 USB it seems, 1 Firewire 8, 1 Gigabit
Ethernet port and one small port which must be for Thunderbolt devices, would
that be right?
