Hi Eric,

I'll interleave my responses to your comments.

Glad to hear you find this useful. I found out about KeyRemap4Macbook about
two years ago, but didn't take note of the default NumPad setup until earlier
this year. The ability to use all the NumPad Commander definitions with
modifier keys in this mode is what really sparked my interest. There are
actually iPhone NumPad apps that let you use your phone as an external NumPad
through Wi-Fi and which will support modifier keys in NumPad Commander, but
stability of performance is an issue -- at the present time there's too much
tendency to repeat keys and either lag or stutter to use this with any
reliability, though it has worked at times in the past.

The caps lock key behavior on the Mac was changed about the same time the
embedded NumPad was removed. Unlike all other keys, the caps lock has a slight
delay before it takes effect. This is the source of the difficulties in
remapping the insert key to caps lock in VMWare Fusion after that change.

It's also why KR4MB refers to a PC layout to get caps lock remapping working.
I'm not sure how to achieve this. And will not be able to check for at least a
week due to travel.

Agreed. Some donation ware software has proved extremely useful and well worth
subsidizing.

Cheers,
