Thomas, boy! do I feel foolish! the caps lock was on. I'm new to mac and I
get so hung up on trying to figure things out that I tend to overlook or
forget the simple things. Glad I didn't call apple support - Ha!

WEll checking back on your message since mine prematurely sent am not
seeing all letters in caps, so it's not that. Are the sticky keys turned
on perhaps too?
And there is one other thing on the tip of the brain that it might be but
am not remembering it at the moment. But caps lock and sticky keys are
the first two I would check.
Good luck I know how annoying having something like that going on can be.

My iMac has started making an annoying clicking sound when typing into
text fields. It sounds like tapping on tin plates and is very annoying. I
can't find a setting anywhere in system settings, or VoiceOver to shut it
off - it just started yesterday.
Please! Can you help me shut off this clinking sound every time I type a
key?
