Ok, the new ability to have caps lock as a modifier in both OS10 and Windows under VM Fusion has decided me to get back those few windows programs and functions that I've been missing since moving over.
I'm after suggestions on the safest and most effective way to plan for and carry out a fresh install of Mountain Lion whilst keeping data and as much of my settings intact as possible. I have an early 2011 MBP, own CCC, have a 1.5TB external that I can freshly format as well as owning a copy of Windows 7 and soon VMWare Fusion.. This seems to be most if not all of what I require but I don't want to miss some simple step and find I've walked into a mine field through ignorance. Any suggestions on C.Y.A, process and order of steps on or off list very gratefully appreciated.
